Clove Turmeric Rosewater Toner: Collagen Booster For Wrinkle Free Glowing Skin

Clove Turmeric Rosewater Toner: Collagen Booster For Wrinkle Free Glowing Skin

Environmental stressors such as UV rays, pollution, and even late-night screen time steadily chip away at the collagen that keeps skin firm and bounce-back fresh. Thankfully, many traditional Indian kitchen staples are quietly loaded with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and gentle astringents that support collagen and calm irritation. When cloves, turmeric, and rosewater are combined—and then fortified with a few other pantry-friendly skin saviors—you get a refreshing toner that hydrates, tones, brightens, and helps defend against premature wrinkles without a drop of alcohol or harsh chemicals.

Ingredients Required

(Makes about 150 ml; scale up or down as needed.)

  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves – packed with eugenol, a potent antioxidant

  • ½ teaspoon organic turmeric powder – curcumin brightens and calms inflammation

  • 100 ml pure rosewater – gently tightens pores and soothes redness

  • 1 tablespoon strong green-tea concentrate – polyphenols add extra free-radical defense

  • 1 tablespoon aloe-vera gel (99 % or fresh) – supplies skin-loving peptides and extra hydration

  • ½ teaspoon vegetable glycerin – humectant that pulls moisture deep into the skin

  • 2–3 drops vitamin E oil – bolsters barrier lipids and locks in glow

Optional add-ins: 4–5 drops witch-hazel distillate for extra pore-refining; lavender essential oil for natural fragrance (1 drop per 50 ml).

Procedure

  1. Infuse the Base

    • In a small sterile saucepan, gently heat 50 ml of the rosewater until it begins to steam—avoid a rolling boil.

    • Add the cloves, cover, and let them simmer on the lowest flame for 5 minutes to pull out their antioxidant goodness.

    • Turn off the heat, whisk in the turmeric, then cover again and steep until the liquid is lukewarm.

  2. Strain and Cool

    • Pour the mixture through a double layer of cheesecloth or a coffee filter to remove spice particles.

    • Transfer the strained infusion to a clean glass beaker. Add the remaining 50 ml of cool rosewater to bring the temperature down quickly—vital for preserving heat-sensitive nutrients.

  3. Enrich the Toner

    • Stir in the green-tea concentrate, aloe-vera gel, and glycerin until the texture turns silky and uniform.

    • Pierce a vitamin E capsule and squeeze in the drops, whisking gently until tiny oil beads disperse evenly.

  4. Bottle and Store

    • Decant the finished toner into a dark-glass spray bottle. Avoid plastic if possible, as turmeric can stain.

    • Label with the date and keep refrigerated. Because there are no synthetic preservatives, use within 10 days. Shake lightly before each application—the golden sediment is natural.
